Cheap Gothic Soap Opera, Part 59

Suddenly the stage burst into action and the lights burst on.
The producers, directors, actors, and taratulas crawled out of their dens.
A stage hand had untied his ropes some minutes earlier, but he had not noticed on account of the things inhumanly soft hands...

An arrogant-looking director strode brusquely toward him, "yes yes yes, you shall have to do for now." The man put a wig on his head and sprayed some make-up on his face.

"One-two-three ACTION" yelled someone across the mess of people.
Then it was mostly quiet, except for the occasional sound of the Lovecraftian coughing of stage hands.

Then someone walked up to him,
"Father, I have returned from my vaction trip, now I must be married."
The detective looked across the room and saw a huge card with words on it. He read them.
"Yes Barnabas. But your wife. Is disappeared tragically. And suddenly."
Barnabas did his best to look shocked,
"Oh no." He turned around and looked at the cue card. "This is most terrible."
"Yes, it is." replied the detective.

"CUT" yelled a technician. "That was fantastic, a marvelous wonder that surpasses the great pyramids and the walls of R'lyeh and the verse of Al'Hazred."
