The Colonial Era, Section 16

The VCR made some sceeching noices, started smoking, and then burst into flames. But now it was dark outside, and Dagon was sure to be stalking the lonely streets again, so the three humans, one a principal and two a parents, decided to settle down inside the school until the clawing noises and shinning tentacle smells percolated off into the rising sun.

"I know," said Ebbers, "if this darned television set can't do the job, then I'll tell the story of the American revolution!"
Mr. and Mrs. Billy, with red, tear-burdened eyes, looked indifferently into the icy night
The principal chuckled to himself. "Good thing I don't have kids! Huh! Ain't I right...ri..."
The couple, married for 25 years but with only one precious son (now a sacrifice to Dagon), did not respond, not even a flinch in their tortured eyes.
"...OK," continued Principal Ebbers jovially, "I'll tell the story."

And so he began his tale of the end of the revolutionary war...
